I saw news on tsunami, it said that tsunami will strike singapore only 1 metres high, solar eclipse will occur on the same day as 22 july on the time of 8.40am to 9.40am, some of my friends said, we couldnt predict whats going to happen because only god knows, well i believe that god is teaching the humans through different circumstances because the earth cant hold the humans many sins that have been created. Answer: Don't kid yourself that Singapore could not be swallowed up by a Tsinami. If any of the Volcanoes underwater exploded Singapore would dissapear. Most coastal areas would be flattened and thousands would be drowned. Food stocks ruined electricity failures, water contamination. The sewage system alone would cause outrbreaks of Cholera withing a few days. Complete disruption of communications and transport by air and sea would be non existant The displacement of water by the underseas volcanoes eruption would be massive, there are no reefs or large undersea barriers that eould offset the power of the water anywhere near Singapore

Answer: The Tsunami will hit the southern part of Singapore, our economic heartbeat. Our economy will come to a standstill while hundreds of thousands of people are trapped in the tall buildings. It will take a few days at least to evacuate these people. Fortunately most of Singaporean men have gone through military training and should be able to stay calm. The rest of the people in Singapore's sub urban areas would be in total shock because they have not encountered natural disasters before. They will panic stock food resulting in mass disorder. The police will have their hands tied trying to maintain order. 1st world countries will send in their planes to evacuate their own citizens. Singaporeans will be left fending for ourselves, at least for a while. Some foreigners will take the chance to attack Singaporeans while the police is busy. Some Singaporeans have not been kind to these people so it is a good time for revenge. Most Singaporeans won't retaliate so they can only stay indoors and hope for the best. Meanwhile, the stagnant waters in the south are spreading diseases and thousands would be infected. The hospitals will be overwhelmed. Singapore's neighbours will be laughing at us because we have been very arrogant to them in the past. However, after the laughter has stopped, compassion will prevail and they will send help. The International community will send in their medical teams and food aid. Hopefully in a few months time, everything will go back to normal but thousands of lives and billions of dollars would have been lost.

Answer: It would be improbable and unlikely from a layman's view. Padang is on the west coast of Sumatra and Singapore is to the east of Sumatra, hence Sumatra will provide some protection from the tsunami.

But before some weeks i received a forwarded mail that due to solar eclipse there will be tsunami in Indonesia,Singapore,Mauritius, and some more places. So just want to confirm whether the news is true? Can we goahead with our plans or not. Thanks.
Answer: That is not true at all. Forwarded mails are not to be trusted, they are mostly created for fun. Believe me, scientists themselves am sure cannot predict a thing like that. And for the tsunami, Mauritius is surely not going to get a wave of it if ever it happens again in Indonesia because we are very far from them. Last time there was the tsunami, Mauritius was not affected at all. And further more, I think Mauritius is better equiped than any island nearby to inform its people and prevent such a calamity to come and kill people. If there is actually a tsunami, everyone would be informed within minutes and they will all move to the centre of the island where big waves won't be able to reach. Enjoy your holidays in Mauritius. It is going to be a good one. Don't worry!
