When will my facial hair thicken up?
Hi,
Im 15 and turning 16 in 3 months, and really badly would like to grow a beard, but Im having problems with my hair thickness. Its fairly thin and not very dark, and has been that way for a while. The rest of my body has a lot of thick hair on it, thicker and hairier than average. (Im half Indian and 3/8 Arab, 1/8 French). I even have a little hair on the tip of my nose and between my eye brows that I need to wax. Im a very, very early bloomer, Ive had grayish peach fuzz on my face since I was 12ish, and have been shaving since I was 14 and a half ish (though I should have started earlier). Ive had leg hair since I was 12, and now I have a lot of it, more than most men, and Ive had light chest hair since I was 13 and now have more thick and long [chest hair] than most grown men do, and have thick hair in a lot of other places that people get hair in, and am slightly taller/have a slightly deeper voice and squarer chin than the average man. Bottom line is Im very hairy and fairly masculine, lol. My genetics point to me having a lot of facial hair, as I said earlier Im harrier than average, and my dad has a really strong 5 o clock shadow and a thick mustache, and he used to have a beard in college. My Indian moms brother has got some nice thick, dark scruff (that he shaves) and could grow a beard in like a week, and her dad has a decent length white beard. My dad (3/4 Arab, 1/4 French) said that he used to have the thin light type of facial hair I do when he was around 15-17 and it thickened up when he was 18, and has been that thick since, very very slightly thinning since he got around 35-40 (normal for aging I think). Not sure about my moms brother, but it was probably a lot earlier than my dad, anyways, the point is all of the men in my family have very thick long facial hair, and can grow beards easily, so the same will hopefully be for me. Im like 99.9% sure it will thicken up pretty soon, the question is when. Right now the facial hair is only in the mustache area, side burns, chin, just under my mouth, and neck, no hair line connecting the stache and soul patch yet, and no hair on my cheeks. Ive heard that working out boosts testosterone, which boosts facial hair growth/thickness, etc, and I started working out (lots of weight lifting, a little bit of cardio) almost every morning about 2 months ago. So far the only results thats given me are muscle and even more sex drive, probably a sign of testosterone. Anyways, growing a beard is probably one of my bigger dreams, please give me any info/advice that you can! Thanks!

Answer: Pushups work, they are great to do right before bed, and in the morning to wake you up. I try to do at least 200 a day. 100 in the morning (reps of 50) and 100 at night (25). The more you place your hands inside, the more toned you get.

The best way is to lift weights. But do light weights with a LOT of reps. So if you can do, say, 180 lb. with 24 reps at a time, do that (this is just an example). Just keep in mind "A lot more reps than weight" and you will be fine.
Some things you could do at home are pull-ups. But your hands HAVE to be inside your shoulder length, and you palms facing you. And Mountain climbers help a ton to.
