Answer: That's an old episode.It happened in the month of July when Nutech was implicated in corruption case in Namibia and Hu Jintao's son happened to be the CEO of the company. At that time the censors blocked all search terms related to Namibia, Nutech or any key word related to that even remotely. Looks like they have removed those blocks now. Answer: Shutting down the Internet is not that difficult. There are 13 key backbones in the united states for example all of which have routing endpoints that can be turned off. If that happened the Internet as we know it would fail. That bill is bull and a threat that we should take seriously. You don't give people control over something they don't understand. These networks are owned by various companies and the security of those networks is their business. Let's hope this idea never gets any traction.
